This Privacy Policy explains what information LearnLinx ("we", "us", "LearnLinx") collects when you use learnlinx.com and related services, how we use it, how it is shared, and the choices you have. This page is publicly available and does not require you to sign in.
What information LearnLinx collects
Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:
- Account details. If you create an account with email and password, we store your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. An account is optional—every calculator works without one.
- Google Sign-In information. If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google shares with LearnLinx your name, email address, Google account ID, and profile information (such as your profile image, when provided) so we can create or sign you into an account. We store these details and a Google account identifier to recognize you on later visits. We do not receive or store your Google password.
- Profile photo. If you upload a profile photo from your dashboard, we store that image on your account. Only JPEG/JPG and PNG files up to 5 MB are accepted. Uploaded images are checked for size/type, virus-scanned when antivirus is available on the server, and re-encoded into a clean JPEG before saving. You can remove your photo at any time.
- Contact and request forms. When you contact us or request a calculator, we store the details you submit (such as name, email, subject, and message) so we can respond and improve the site.
- Calculator activity (signed-in users). If you are signed in, calculation inputs and results may be saved so you can see a private activity history on your dashboard. Saved results expire automatically after 60 days, and you can clear them anytime from your dashboard.
- Typing Hub and KeySprint. If you are signed in, Typing Hub results (mode, speed, accuracy, and related stats) and KeySprint match records may be saved so you can track progress and rivalries. You can clear practice scores from your dashboard. Competition stats may remain until you ask us to delete your account.
- Notifications. If you use in-site notifications (for example typing challenges), we store those notifications for your account until they are read or removed with account deletion.
- Session data (guests). For visitors who are not signed in, recent activity for some tools is kept temporarily in your browser session only and is not linked to a LearnLinx account. Guest calculator use may be counted only in anonymous traffic totals, not as a personal profile.
- Technical and security data. Like most websites, our servers and security systems may process IP address, browser type, device information, and request timestamps to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the service.
Google Sign-In
When you sign in with Google, LearnLinx receives and may store:
- your name,
- your email address,
- your Google account ID, and
- profile information provided by Google (such as a profile image).
We use this information only to authenticate you, create or link your LearnLinx account, personalize your signed-in experience (for example showing your name or avatar), and secure your account. Your use of Google Sign-In is also subject to Google’s own privacy policy and terms. LearnLinx does not sell Google account data.
How the information is used
- To provide calculators, converters, typing tools, and related features.
- To create and manage accounts, including Google Sign-In accounts.
- To show signed-in users their own activity history, typing progress, and competition records.
- To operate challenges, matchmaking, and in-site notifications for registered users.
- To operate and secure the site, including abuse prevention and account moderation.
- To allow administrators to review signed-in tool usage for support and product improvement.
- To respond to messages and calculator requests.
- To measure aggregate traffic and improve popular tools.
Site traffic and product analytics
We keep aggregate usage metrics to understand which calculators are popular and how the site is performing. This includes page views, completed calculations, guest versus signed-in usage counts, and daily totals by calculator and category. These metrics are not used to identify individual guests.
Admin review of signed-in activity
Authorized LearnLinx administrators may review signed-in account activity for operations, support, abuse prevention, product improvement, and enforcement of our Terms of Service. That review may include information such as:
- account name and email,
- which calculators or typing tools were used,
- when that activity happened,
- account status (for example active, suspended, or blocked), and
- competition or challenge metadata needed to investigate abuse.
Administrators may also suspend, block, or delete accounts; remove profile photos or other user-submitted content; and cancel challenges or matchmaking when needed for safety or policy enforcement. Administrators use an activity overview that focuses on tool names and timestamps. We do not treat browsing raw calculation inputs (such as health, finance, or personal measurement values) as a routine admin dashboard practice. Saved inputs remain available to you in your own dashboard history until they expire or you clear them, and may be accessed only when needed for legitimate support, security, or legal reasons.
Cookies and session information
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the site to function, including:
- Session cookies to keep you signed in and remember temporary guest activity during a visit.
- Security cookies to protect forms against misuse (for example CSRF protection).
- Preference/session data stored in your browser session for short-term tool history when you are not signed in.
We may also use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and improve the calculators. Google Analytics may set cookies or use similar technologies according to Google’s privacy terms. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling necessary cookies may prevent sign-in or some features from working.
Third-party services such as Google
LearnLinx may use trusted third-party services to operate the site, including:
- Google Sign-In / Google OAuth for account authentication.
- Google Analytics (when enabled) for aggregate traffic analysis.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that process data as needed to run the website.
These providers process information according to their own privacy policies and only as needed to provide their services to us. When analytics is enabled, we may collect general usage information such as the page visited, device type, approximate region, and referral source. Calculator query values are removed from the page address sent to analytics, so calculation inputs and result-link parameters are not included in our analytics page views. We do not use analytics to sell personal information.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share your calculation inputs or results with third parties for advertising.
- We do not build personal profiles for guests who use calculators without an account.
- We do not require an account to use any calculator.
Data retention and deletion
- Saved calculator results expire after 60 days.
- You can clear saved calculator activity and typing scores at any time using the “Clear Activity” button on your dashboard.
- Aggregate traffic counters may be kept longer because they do not identify guests.
- Account information (including Google Sign-In identifiers, competition records, and notifications) is kept while your account remains active.
- To delete your account and associated personal activity data, email support@learnlinx.com or use the contact page. We will remove your account and personal activity data within a reasonable time, except where we must retain limited information for security, legal, or operational reasons (for example abuse prevention records).
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Access personal information associated with your account.
- Correct inaccurate account details (for example by updating your profile or contacting us).
- Delete saved activity from your dashboard, or request full account deletion.
- Withdraw Google Sign-In access by disconnecting LearnLinx from your Google account settings and/or asking us to delete your LearnLinx account.
- Object or ask questions about how we process your information by contacting us.

Children's privacy
LearnLinx is a general-audience educational site. Calculators can be used without providing personal details. Accounts and Google Sign-In are intended for users who are at least 13 years old (or older if required where you live). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe a child has created an account, contact support@learnlinx.com and we will take appropriate steps.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Our Terms of Service describe acceptable use, admin moderation, and liability limits that work together with this Privacy Policy.
