Typing practice modes
Random Paragraph creates a long new passage from shuffled sentences on every restart. In Alphabet Race, random letters fall from the top: type each one before it reaches the bottom. Common Words Sprint and Tricky Words Challenge drop words from large random decks so the same word does not return until the full list has been used.
Your words-per-minute (WPM) score counts every 5 correct characters as one word, which is the standard method used by most typing tests. Accuracy compares each character you type against the displayed text.
International WPM levels
Beginner: 10–25 WPM
Average computer user: 30–40 WPM
Good typist: 40–50 WPM
Fast typist: 50–70 WPM
Professional typist: 70–90 WPM
Expert / Competitive: 90+ WPM
Tips to improve your typing speed
Keep your fingers on the home row keys (ASDF and JKL;).
Focus on accuracy first - speed follows naturally.
Practice for 10-15 minutes daily rather than long sessions.
